Janata Bank holds ALCO meeting

Janata Bank PLC’s Asset-Liability Management Committee (ALCO) meeting took place on Thursday, 28 August, at the bank’s head office, chaired by Managing Director Mohammad Mujibur Rahman.

The meeting was attended by the bank’s Deputy Managing Directors Mohammad Golam Mortuza, Mohammad Fayez Alam, Mohammad Nazirul Islam, Mohammad Ashraful Alam, and several General Managers and Deputy General Managers.

In his address, Managing Director Mohammad Mujibur Rahman outlined key strategies to navigate the current financial landscape. He emphasized focusing on low-interest deposits, increasing foreign remittances, and boosting auto loans. Rahman also instructed the team to focus on recovering and reducing classified loans and ensuring the collection of written-off loans.

The meeting aimed at setting clear directives to enhance the bank’s operations and meet its financial objectives effectively.
