Jamaat-e-Islami has strongly condemned and protested Israel’s plan to occupy Gaza City in Palestine. On Monday, the party’s Secretary General and former MP Mia Golam Parwar expressed this protest in a statement.
In the statement, he said, “Israel is advancing with extensive plans to occupy Gaza City. Already, Israeli forces have indiscriminately bombed Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City, killing seven innocent people. According to the latest statistics, 61,827 Palestinians have been martyred and 55,275 seriously injured in Israeli aggression so far.”
He further stated, “The occupying Israeli forces have destroyed homes, mosques, madrasas, churches, educational institutions, and even hospitals in Gaza. Everything in Gaza has now turned into ruins. Once a thriving city, Gaza today stands witness to one of the most brutal massacres in human history. Essentially, Israel is carrying out a systematic genocide in Palestine, an unprecedented and shameful chapter in civilised history.”
Golam Parwar said, “Israel has recently openly declared its intention to occupy Gaza and, to that end, has devised a horrific plan to forcibly displace nearly one million Palestinians from Gaza.”
He urgently called upon “the United Nations, peace-loving nations, and all international organisations to compel the occupying Israeli forces to immediately halt their plans to seize Gaza City and forcibly displace the Palestinian people.”
