One woman has been killed and “some 40 people” injured by Iranian retaliatory strikes in Israel, Israel’s ambassador to the United States said. “We faced three salvos of ballistic missiles fired from Iran today, about 150 in total,” Yechiel Leiter told CNN’s Kaitlan Collins.
“We expect that the Iranians, who have a considerable volume of ballistic missiles, somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,000, will continue to fire them,” he said, while accusing Iran of targeting Israeli civilians.
“Ask me that question in four or five days, and I’ll have a better assessment after our military assesses the damage they were able to implement to the various nuclear sites,” he said. “According to our analysis, we can come very close to completely neutralizing, for good, Iran’s nuclear infrastructure for good, ” he added.
