Israel is running low on its supply of Arrow missile defense interceptors, a US official has confirmed, raising concerns about its ability to defend against long-range Iranian missile attacks if the war continues. The US has known about this issue for months and has been helping strengthen Israel’s defenses by adding missile systems on land, at sea, and in the air. Since the conflict worsened in June, the US has sent even more missile defense equipment to the region.

However, there is now growing worry that both the US and Israel may soon run low on these vital interceptors. “We can’t just keep intercepting missiles endlessly,” said Tom Karako, a missile defense expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. “Israel and its allies need to act quickly before it’s too late.” Israel Aerospace Industries, which makes the Arrow interceptors, did not respond to questions.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated: “The IDF is ready for any situation, but we cannot discuss our supply of weapons.”
