In a media release, the ISPR warned that a vested group has disseminated a false press release with the intent to mislead the people. It is aimed at creating unrest between the armed forces and the common people. ” The use of the military’s official logo was a deliberate attempt to boost credibility to the forged document, it opines.

“The fake press release is a malicious attempt to create confusion and division,” the ISPR said adding: We urge all not to fall for such misinformation and to verify facts through authentic and official sources.

The ISPR emphasized the importance of public awareness and encouraged citizens to remain cautious and avoid spreading unverified information.

“Do not believe in rumours. Do not be misled. Verify the truth, stay aware,” the statement appealed.

Authorities are reportedly investigating the source of the fake release and have assured the public that legal action will be taken against those responsible.
