Iran has announced the arrest of two individuals allegedly working for Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad according to reporting by British newspaper The Guardian on Sunday.
Iran stated that the two Mossad operatives were apprehended in Alborz province while preparing explosives and electronic devices.
In the same vein, Israel has claimed to have arrested two individuals for working on behalf of Iran. The Times of Israel reported on Saturday that they were detained for activities deemed harmful to Israel’s security.
According to various news agencies, multiple intelligence sources have alleged that Mossad had established a secret drone manufacturing facility inside Iran. They claim that explosive-laden drones launched from this facility have destroyed Iran’s air defense systems.
The attacks, aimed at destroying Iran’s nuclear program, occurred in the dead of night in Iran, which analysts suggest mark the largest attack Iran has faced since its war with Iraq.
Intelligence sources indicate that when the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched Operation Rising Lion in the early hours of Friday, Mossad activated the drones. These drones then targeted and disabled missile launch sites directed toward Israel, allowing Israeli forces to continue strikes without facing resistance.
