Apple’s latest software update, iOS 26, is now live for iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches. The update debuts a fresh design called Liquid Glass.
App icons look clearer and more fluid, and users can make them translucent to highlight their wallpaper. In apps like Apple Music, swipes replace taps for a more seamless experience.
iOS 26 also introduces powerful AI features. Live Translation can translate texts, phone calls and FaceTime conversations in real time. With AirPods Pro 3, the feature extends to the world around you, translating nearby conversations almost instantly.
iOS 26 also adds Call Screening. When an unknown number rings, the iPhone answers first and asks for the caller’s name and reason. Users can then decide whether to pick up.
Another new feature is Hold Assist. It stays on the line with customer service and alerts the user once a real agent is ready. The Messages app is also getting updates. Users can now create polls inside chats and customise message backgrounds with photos or preset designs.
Apple Maps has become more intuitive, learning daily routes and alerting users about delays in advance. A new “Visited Place” option highlights restaurants, shops and other spots already visited.
Apple Wallet now supports digital passport storage, alongside cards, tickets and boarding passes. Now, it’s time to see how users respond to Apple’s latest update.
