The international conference on data science, artificial intelligence (AI), and applications concluded on July 19 at the EATL Innovation Hub in Kaliakair Hi-Tech City, Gazipur, with a strong call for private organisations and various research institutions to increase their research efforts in the development of AI and other modern technologies, alongside government initiatives.

The two-day conference organised jointly by EATL Innovation Hub and the University of Salford (UK), brought together researchers, experts and academics from both home and abroad. Throughout the event, several research papers were presented, focusing on topics such as AI, big data, machine learning and robotics.

Managing Director of EATL, MA Mubin Khan, stated that the conference served as a platform for both national and international researchers to share their work on data and artificial intelligence (AI). He emphasised that Bangladeshi professionals, educators and students had the wonderful opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives with global experts.

Professor Mo Saraee from the University of Salford noted that the conference provided valuable insights into a wide range of technological advancements and innovations, as well as the significant progress Bangladesh is making.

The conference featured keynote speeches, research paper presentations, workshops, panel discussions and a poster exhibition. According to the organisers, selected research papers from the event will be published in Springer Communications in Computer and Information Science magazine.

Participants included researchers from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, China, the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States.
