International football is set to return to the National Stadium in Dhaka for the first time in nearly four years, as Bangladesh prepare to host Singapore in a crucial AFC Asian Cup qualifier on June 10.

The iconic venue last hosted an international fixture in 2020 before undergoing an extended period of renovation. Now, with a refreshed look and renewed energy, the stadium will once again serve as the centre stage for national pride and footballing passion.

At a press conference held at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Wednesday, officials confirmed that tickets will go on sale online from May 24 at 12:00pm via tickify.live. Fans will be required to register using their national ID cards and can buy a maximum of five tickets per phone number and email address.

Ticket pricing caters to a range of budgets:

  • General gallery: Tk 400
  • Club House-2: Tk 2,000
  • Club House-1: Tk 2,500
  • VIP Box-2 & 3: Tk 2,500
  • Sky View: Tk 3,000
  • VIP Box-1: Tk 4,000

Golam Gaus, BFF executive member and chairman of the Competition Committee, said, “Spectators can collect tickets from the Tickify website starting Saturday noon. From tomorrow, BFF will begin sharing the link to the platform.”

Iftikhar Ifti, a representative from Tickify, outlined the ticketing process: “Users will need to register with their name, mobile number, and email address. After selecting their preferred seat, they can pay via bank or mobile financial services. An e-ticket will then be emailed to them.”

The fixture is anticipated to draw a massive crowd, especially with the potential inclusion of high-profile players such as Hamza Choudhury and Shamit Shome, who are eligible to represent Bangladesh.

The return of international football to the heart of the capital is more than just a match – it’s a symbolic step forward for Bangladeshi football, rekindling the connection between the national team and its passionate home supporters.
