Industry-Academia Summit 2025 begins at Daffodil University

The two-day Industry-Academia Collaboration Summit 2025 has begun at Daffodil International University (DIU) in collaboration with Pubali Bank PLC, aiming to foster stronger ties between the education and corporate sectors to enhance innovation, skill development and employment opportunities.

Mohammad Ali, Managing Director and CEO of Pubali Bank PLC, attended the opening ceremony as chief guest. Md Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil International University, Mohammad Manjurul Haque Khan, Director of the Career Development Centre, and Professor Dr Mostafa Kamal, Dean of Academic Affairs and Advisor to the Real Estate Department, were present as special guests. Anubhav Rahman, Director of the Human Resources Department at DIU, delivered the vote of thanks.

Among others from Pubali Bank, Abu Laich Md Samsujjaman, General Manager and Regional Head, Dhaka Central Region; N M Firoz Kamal, DGM and Head of Card Business; Md Rabiul Alam, DGM and Head of Alternative Delivery Channel Division; and Public Relations Officer Mohammad Mizanur Rahman attended the event along with senior officials from the bank’s head office. Faculty members and students of Daffodil International University were also present.

Experts from both academia and industry participated in the summit, exchanging views on employment, innovation, and skill development, with an emphasis on building stronger partnerships between universities and corporate entities to meet future workforce demands.

Earlier, Mohammad Ali inaugurated a Pubali Bank banking booth at Daffodil International University, aimed at bringing banking services closer to students and faculty.
