The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations under the Cumilla Education Board, which was postponed on July 10 due to severe flooding and adverse weather, will now be held on August 12.
Runa Nasrin, examination controller of the Cumilla Education Board, confirmed the revised date on Sunday.
The decision to postpone the exam was made on July 9 after floodwaters surged across several districts under the Cumilla board, including Feni and Noakhali, disrupting transportation and posing safety risks for students and staff.
“The exam originally scheduled for July 10 was postponed due to worsening flood conditions in various areas, particularly in Feni,” said Nasrin. “It has now been rescheduled for August 12.”
