The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has instructed the Internal Audit Directorate to conduct a full audit of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) accounts for the period from 2009 to 2024, covering income, expenditure, and activities related to the transfer and allocation of plots and flats.

According to a press release issued by the ministry on 10 August, the directive was given in the public interest under the Allocation of Functions (Article 2 a, b, c, d) and the Charter of Duties of Internal Audit Directorate officials, as well as in line with decision 4(b) of the ministry’s Budget Management Committee meeting held on 23 April 2025.

The Internal Audit Directorate has been tasked with preparing an audit plan, ensuring compliance with the Rajuk Act and relevant rules, and providing the ministry with detailed information on the members of the audit team, including their names, designations, and contact numbers, before the start of the work. Rajuk must be kept duly informed about the audit process.

The ministry has set a three-month deadline for completing the audit, after which the Internal Audit Directorate must submit a detailed report to the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.
