Bangladeshi viewers are about to get a major streaming upgrade. Warner Bros. Discovery announced that its flagship streaming service HBO Max will officially launch in Bangladesh on October 15, alongside eight other major Asia-Pacific markets including Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Macau and Mongolia.
Subscribers can expect HBO’s signature hits such as ‘House of the Dragon’, ‘The Last of Us’ and ‘The Penguin’, alongside Max Original and Hollywood blockbusters like ‘Superman’, ‘Sinners’ and ‘Final Destination: Bloodlines’.
Discovery’s popular factual programs ‘Gold Rush’, ‘Deadliest Catch’ and ‘90 Day Fiancé’ are also part of the lineup.
Family-friendly content will also be part of the lineup, featuring Cartoon Network favorites like ‘Adventure Time’ and ‘We Bare Bears’, as well as classic animated series such as ‘Tom and Jerry’ and ‘Looney Tunes’.
Bangladeshi fans will also get a first look at HBO’s upcoming Stephen King prequel series, ‘IT: Welcome to Derry’.
The launch comes with a refreshed HBO Max interface, offering personalized profiles, curated content hubs, kids’ accounts with parental controls and offline downloads for uninterrupted viewing.
“Following successful expansions in Australia and Europe, we’re thrilled to bring HBO Max to Bangladesh and more fans across Asia,” said JB Perrette, CEO and president of global streaming and games at Warner Bros. Discovery.
By the end of 2025, HBO Max aims to be available in over 100 markets, with major European launches planned for 2026.
