In the final of the Global Super League T20 2025 at Providence Stadium, Guyana, the home side captain, Imran Tahir won the toss and opted to bat first.

That means in the all-important final, Rangpur Riders will have to bowl first for the first time in the tournament.

In the 2025 edition of the GSL, Rangpur won their three matches by 8 runs, 1 run and 8 runs respectively.

The fourth game was abandoned eventually due to rain after Rangpur put a total of just 79 all out on the board – their only horrible display of batting so far.

The first game for both the finalists was between themselves.

Rangpur Riders, having batted first, posted 162 runs on the board with a brilliant finish from Iftikhar Ahmed and Kyle Mayers, as they scored 34*(21) and 44*(31) respectively.

In the second innings, Khaled Ahmed took a scintillating 4 four 36 with a clutch performance in the death overs to win the game.

Imran Tahir and his men would like to prevent Rangpur Riders from doing the same and get the trophy to their name.
