Grameenphone has teamed up with Eastern Bank to offer customers interest-free smartphone purchases under a new campaign running from 10 August to 30 September 2025.

Under the deal, Grameenphone users with EBL credit cards can buy smartphones from Samsung, Xiaomi, VIVO, OPPO, and Gadget & Gear with up to 24-month 0 per cent EMI facility. Customers must verify their GP numbers by SMS to 29000 at partner outlets before making purchases through EBL cards.

The initiative was formalised through a memorandum of understanding signed at GPHouse by Grameenphone Head of Partnerships Munia Ghani and Eastern Bank Head of Cards Tasnim Hussain.

“This partnership unlocks access to cutting-edge smartphones, making digital lifestyles more flexible and inclusive,” said Munia Ghani, adding that telco-fintech synergy is key to digital empowerment.

Tasnim Hussain said the collaboration combines affordability and innovation, affirming EBL’s commitment to smart banking and financial access.

Grameenphone said the campaign supports its broader strategy of telco-tech transformation by reducing entry barriers to modern devices and enhancing digital inclusion.

According to a press release, the offer is part of Grameenphone’s continued efforts to deliver value and superior digital experiences to its customers.
