Following protests by Milestone School and College students on campus grounds with a six-point demand since the Tuesday morning, the government has accepted all of six of the students’ demands.
The information was confirmed by Law Adviser Asif Nazrul after meeting student representatives and teachers on campus.
The demonstrations intensified at around 10:30am when Law Adviser Asif Nazrul and Education Adviser CR Abrar visited the campus.
Protesting students surrounded them, chanting slogans before the advisers retreated to a ground-floor conference room in Building No 5 for discussions with teachers.
Five to seven student representatives joined the talks while hundreds continued protesting outside.
The protesters demanded immediate action for crash victims, insisting on: Full disclosure of deceased victims’ identities; publication of a complete, verified injured list; unconditional military apology for manhandling teachers; Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) compensation for bereaved families; replacement of outdated training aircraft with modern alternatives; and a comprehensive restructuring of BAF training protocols.

Crowds swarmed the college premises – some searching for missing relatives, others drawn by curiosity. Security guard Amir Hossein urged: “Please don’t congregate – just pay respects and leave.”
Residential hostel students were seen departing with families, including from the Hyder Ali Hostel behind the crash site. Kabir Ahmed, a parent, recalled: “I panicked when I heard news of the crash – until I was able to confirm my son’s safety.”
Teacher Afrin noted the destroyed building primarily housed primary sections, adding: “We’re still verifying which classes were occupied and student numbers.”
