The government has appointed 1,702 candidates to various cadres under the 45th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued an order on Wednesday night, around 10 months after the Public Service Commission (PSC) recommended the candidates for appointment.
The PSC published the final results of the 45th BCS examination on 27 November 2025, recommending 1,807 candidates for appointment to different cadres.
According to the order, the newly appointed officials must join their assigned offices by 1 November, as designated by their respective cadre-controlling ministries. Unless otherwise instructed by the relevant ministry, they must report to their assigned posts within the deadline.
The ministry stated that failure to join on the stipulated date would be treated as a refusal to accept the appointment, resulting in the cancellation of the appointment letter.
The authorities also reserved the right to amend or cancel the appointment order if any adverse or contradictory information about an appointed officer emerges after the appointment.
