Gold prices have increased once again. The price of 22-carat gold climbed by Tk3,266 per bhori (11.664 grams) to stand at Tk2,47,977
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the new price through a press release on Wednesday.
The price of 21-carat gold is now Tk2,36,721 per bhori, 18-carat gold at Tk2,02,895, and traditional method gold at Tk1,65,279.
BAJUS said the adjustment was made in line with overall market conditions following a rise in the local price of tejabi gold, or pure gold.
The notice further said 5 percent VAT and a minimum wage of 6 percent must be added to the selling price of gold. The wage may vary depending on the design and quality of the jewellery.
Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged. 22‑carat silver is selling at Tk5,715 per bhori, 21‑carat at Tk5,424, 18‑carat at Tk4,666, and traditional silver at Tk3,499.
