Victor Osimhen has completed a permanent move to Galatasaray from Napoli for €75 million, the Turkish champions confirmed on Thursday, 29 July, making the Nigerian striker the most expensive incoming transfer in Turkish football history.

The transfer fee breaks the previous record set just a year ago, when Fenerbahçe signed Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla for €20 million.

As part of the deal, Napoli will receive 10 percent of any future profit Galatasaray make from Osimhen’s next transfer. The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract that will begin from the 2025–26 season.

Osimhen is set to earn a net guaranteed salary of €15 million per season. In addition, he will receive €1 million annually as a loyalty bonus, and a further €5 million each season in image rights  covering the club’s commercial use of his name, image, and likeness.

Napoli also confirmed the terms of the agreement on their end.

Osimhen had been on the verge of leaving Napoli in the summer of 2024, but a permanent move fell through on deadline day. Instead, he joined Galatasaray on loan for the 2024–25 campaign a season in which he flourished, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 matches across all competitions, helping the Istanbul club clinch their 25th Turkish league title.
