Six people were killed and one injured in a head on collision between a pickup van and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Chattogram-Rangamati highway adjoining to the Rubber garden area under Kawkhali upazila of Rangamati on Saturday morning.
Police identified three victims as: Torap of Rauzan, Nur Nahar of Kawkhali Rangamati and Mahmudur Rahman of Hathazari. The three others are yet to be identified, said Officer-in-Charge of Kawkhali Police Station Saiful Islam Sohag.
Witnesses say one injured has been sent to Chittagong medical college hospital for advanced treatment.
Police rushed to the spot the bodies would be sent to Rangamati General Hospital, he added.
