The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reassigned the responsibilities of five Director Generals (DGs), according to an official order issued on Thursday.
As per the reshuffle, Md Nurul Islam, DG of the North America Wing, has been appointed as Chief of Protocol, while continuing his role as DG of the North America Wing.
Shah Asif Rahman has been made DG of the United Nations Wing, while AFM Zahid-ul-Islam has been assigned to the General Services Wing. Md Humayun Kabir will serve as DG of the West Asia Wing.
Meanwhile, SM Mahbubul Alam has been appointed as DG of the Public Diplomacy Wing and will also act as the official spokesperson of the Ministry.
