At least four people were killed and two others injured in a fire that broke out at a hotel in Dhaka’s Shahjadpur neighbourhood on Monday, reports UNB.
The fire broke out on the second floor of the six-storey building that housed a hotel around noon, firefighting officials said.
They took nearly an hour to being the flame under control.
The rescuers found the bodies of one of the victims inside a bathroom on the sixth floor of the building while three others were found on the staircase with its door locked, said Talha bin Jasim, station officer of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
