As part of the month-long July Revival Programme commemorating the anniversary of the July Uprising, a film screening, musical performances, and a drone show will be held at the Central Shaheed Minar premises at 6 pm today.
The events are being organised by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, reports BSS.
According to an official handout, the programme will begin with the national anthem, followed by the screening of a TVC produced by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, highlighting the martyred women of July.
Subsequently, three films produced by the Cultural Affairs Ministry—You Failed to Kill Abrar Fahad, July Women, and July Bishad Sindhu—will be screened.
The programme will also include tributes to the women from the July martyr families and the female fighters of the uprising.
Featured performances will include artistes Sayan, Parsa Mahzabin, and Elita Karim, as well as bands Ella La La, F Minor, and Samageet.
Following the musical performances, a drone show themed on the July Uprising and its prelude will be presented. After the drone show, the roar of resistance of the July girls will once again echo from various halls of Dhaka University through symbolic recreations.
Participation from women—particularly teachers and students from schools, colleges, and both public and private universities—is especially encouraged.
