Farisa Zaynah Zaman, a student of the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at North South University, has emerged as the winner of the final round of the reputable “Seeds for the Future 2025” competition, announced officially on July 12.
Organised by Huawei, the event brought together some of the brightest young innovators in the country.
Farisa and her teammates from Team NeoVital came up with a spectacular idea – a smart wearable armband that uses IoT, Cloud, AI and Machine Learning to keep track of children’s health in real time, especially when parents are away or unable to provide them with constant care.
She will be soon going to China to represent Team Bangladesh on the global stage. From winning multiple national business competitions as part of Team Jhalmuri from NSU to now showcasing her country internationally, Farisa’s journey is truly one to take inspiration from. Her perseverance and passion for her craft can motivate many others to take bold leaps, which is exactly what the country needs.
