In anticipation of a large turnout for the second T20 international between Bangladesh and Pakistan at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium this evening (22 July), the Dhaka Metro Rail will operate additional services to ease the movement of spectators.

The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced that three extra trains will run beyond the usual service hours on Monday night. Typically, the last train departs Uttara North at 9:00 PM, but today, additional trains will leave at 9:15 PM, 10:00 PM, and 10:15 PM, all heading towards Motijheel.

Similarly, on the return route, the last regular service from Motijheel usually departs at 9:40 PM. However, tonight, extended services will operate at 9:55 PM, 10:40 PM, and 10:55 PM, bound for Uttara North.

To support this extended schedule, single journey ticket counters at all stations will remain open until 10:15 PM.

DMTCL confirmed that this one-off arrangement is designed exclusively for today, in response to the expected surge in passenger numbers due to the high-profile cricket match.

The second match of the three-game T20 series between Bangladesh and Pakistan begins at 6:00 PM, with a potential series win on the line for the home side.
