DUCSU: Islami Chhatra Andolan announces partial panel

The Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Andolan has announced a partial panel for participation in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections.

On behalf of the organisation, preliminary nominations have been announced for the following positions: Mohammad Yasin Arafat, former president of the Dhaka University unit of Islami Chhatra Andolan, for the Vice President (VP) post; Khairul Ahsan Marjan, former General Secretary of the Dhaka University unit, for the General Secretary (GS) post; and Saif Mohammad Alauddin for the Assistant General Secretary (AGS) post.

However, they stated that candidates for other positions in the panel have not yet been finalized.

Top leaders of the Islami Chhatra Andolan said their Ducsu panel will be announced today or tomorrow.

Regarding the delay in announcing the panel, General Secretary of the Dhaka University unit of Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh Saif Mohammad Alauddin told Times of Bangladesh, “We have been in discussions with several Islamic and non-Islamic organisations, as well as some independent individuals. No decision has been made so far, as there was still time, and we were busy with some organisational programmes. We will sit to finalise the decision today.”
