Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Baharul Alam said that the work of preparing a list of those who are engaged in crimes to establish dominance in different areas of Dhaka is underway.
He said this after visiting the Dhaka District Police Line and Traffic and Driving School located at the Mill Barracks in Old Dhaka on Saturday afternoon.
He also said that the role of the country’s political parties is important in improving the overall law and order situation and that their cooperation is necessary in this regard.
He also said that the morale of the police force is still weak after last year’s mass uprising. As a result, they are not able to give their 100% performance yet.
Earlier, Home Adviser Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that slow trials are not the responsibility of the law enforcers. However, law enforcers are not playing a passive role in the matter.
