Dengue continues to take a toll across the country, with three more deaths and 428 hospitalisations reported in the past 24 hours.
The data was shared in a bulletin issued on Wednesday by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the report, between 8am Tuesday and 8am Wednesday, the highest number of hospital admissions was recorded in Barishal Division (excluding the city corporation area) with 104 patients. Hospitals in Dhaka metropolitan area treated 113 new cases, while the rest of Dhaka Division saw 74 admissions.
Elsewhere, 50 people were admitted in Rajshahi Division, 39 in Chattogram Division, 30 in Khulna, 14 in Mymensingh, and 4 in Rangpur.
So far this year, the dengue death toll stands at 92. Among the deceased, 53 were men and 39 were women.
