Dengue: 248 hospitalised, no new deaths in 24hrs

A total of 248 people were hospitalised with dengue fever across the country in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with new cases the total number of dengue infection rose to 6,926.

The number of deaths remained at 30, with no new fatalities reported during this period, the DGHS added.

Among the new dengue patients, 104 were hospitalised in Barishal, 39 in Chattogram, 18 in Dhaka division, 20 in Dhaka North, 35 in Dhaka South, 18 in Rajshahi, seven in Khulna.

A total of 6,103 persons were discharged from hospitals till now.

Last year, a total of 575 deaths from dengue disease were reported, the DGHS data said.
