Dengue: 1 more dies, 430 hospitalised in 24hrs

One more patient died of dengue in 24 hours till Sunday morning, raising this year’s death toll to 115, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

During the same period, 430 new patients were admitted to hospitals, taking the total number of reported cases to 28,632. The latest fatality came from Chattogram Division.

DGHS data shows fresh cases by division: 72 in Barishal, 79 in Chattogram, 54 in Dhaka, 57 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 63 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 46 in Khulna, 12 in Mymensingh, 42 in Rajshahi, three in Rangpur, and two in Sylhet.

At present, 1,281 dengue patients are receiving treatment in hospitals across the country.

Last year, the disease claimed 575 lives.
