Deepika Padukone is making a big change in her career. She is moving from acting to producing with a new Hindi movie, a remake of the 2015 Hollywood hit ‘The Intern’.

Deepika has been connected to this project for almost five years, but now she has decided not to act in it. Instead, she will focus only on producing the film through her company, KA Productions.

The original plan was for Deepika to star in the Hindi version alongside veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. Sadly, after Rishi Kapoor passed away, the makers brought in the legendary Amitabh Bachchan to play the main role.

Now, Deepika will no longer play the female lead. The producers are searching for a new actress to take that part.

A report from Mid-Day shared that Deepika will fully concentrate on producing the film this time. She will manage all the creative and practical details to give the project a fresh start.

The Intern is the first of five films Deepika Padukone plans to produce in the next year. She aims to bring stories to the audience that connect with people all over the world.

This news comes a few months after Deepika stepped away from another big film, ‘Spirit’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Reports said she left due to creative differences and tough conditions, including a long eight-hour workday, sharing profits, and a high salary demand.

Also, she did not want to deliver her dialogues in Telugu, which was a part of the film. After Deepika left, Triptii Dimri took over her role in the movie starring Prabhas.

Deepika’s move to focus on producing shows her desire to grow beyond acting and shape films from behind the scenes. Fans are eager to see how she will handle these new responsibilities and what kind of stories she will bring to the big screen.
