Chargesheets filed in 12 cases related to student uprising

Authorities have filed chargesheets in 12 cases linked to the anti-discrimination student protest, according to a statement from the Police Headquarters.

Among these, three cases involve charges of murder, while the remaining nine relate to various other criminal offenses.

The police report revealed that all three murder cases are from Sherpur district. Meanwhile, the other nine cases involve incidents from several locations across the country.

These include one case each from Dhaka Metropolitan Police and Barisal Metropolitan Police, three from Chapainawabganj district, two from Sirajganj district, and two additional cases currently under investigation by the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Senior police officials are actively supervising the investigations to ensure a comprehensive and impartial approach in handling all cases related to the student-led protests.
