Bus services between Mymensingh and Northern districts have become suspended since Thursday morning due to a clash between two groups of transport workers over a minor dispute.

According to Mymensingh District Police Traffic Inspector (Administration) Md. Zahir Uddin, the conflict began with a verbal altercation between supervisors of two buses on the Bogura-Mymensingh route. The argument soon escalated into a physical clash, prompting workers to block bus operations.

As a result, no buses from Mymensingh were allowed to head toward North Bengal, nor were any buses from North Bengal permitted to enter Mymensingh city. Traffic police sources confirmed that discussions are ongoing between bus owners and transport worker leaders to resolve the issue and resume services on the affected route. Police have also been in talks with both sides and expressed optimism that the situation will be resolved soon.

Meanwhile, bus services on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route have remained uninterrupted, with vehicles departing on schedule.
