BSF shoots Bangladeshi man dead at Kulaura Border

A Bangladeshi man was shot dead by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) near the Dattagram border in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar district late Saturday night. The BSF later took the body away, local sources said.

The incident occurred around 11:30pm on Saturday, in the no-man’s land near the Chatlapur border outpost under Sharifpur Union.

The deceased has been identified as Pradip Baidya, a resident of Dattagram area in Kulaura.

Azizul Haq Darud, a member of the Kulaura Sharifpur Union Parishad, stated that Pradip Boidya’s body is currently at Kailashahar Hospital in India.

Lieutenant Colonel ASM Zakaria, commanding officer of the 46 BGB Battalion, said, “Rumors have spread regarding this matter. So far, no GD (General Diary) or missing complaint has been filed. No information has been received from the BSF side either.”
