Brad Pitt has advised rising Hollywood talents to be cautious about diving into superhero or franchise movies, warning that such roles can restrict their creative freedom and lead to burnout.
While promoting Formula 1 on the New Heights podcast, the actor reflected on how the industry has evolved.
“I like watching what the new generation is coming in with,” he said, adding, “I like to see what they are up against and the way they negotiate and work their way through it. They enjoy it more. We were more uptight, and it had to be about acting – like, you didn’t sell out, you didn’t sell out”.
He acknowledged that rising actors embrace opportunities across various platforms and styles, which he appreciates. However, he also cautioned against the growing pressure to land roles in big franchises or superhero films.
Although Brad had a cameo in Deadpool 2, he has generally stayed away from superhero projects and major franchises – with the exception of the Ocean’s trilogy alongside George Clooney and Matt Damon.
