BRAC Bank’s digital banking app, ‘Astha’, has achieved a significant milestone, reaching one million users. The app has made a major impact in the digital banking space, offering users seamless access to financial services across the country.
In July 2025, ‘Astha’ set a new record by facilitating Tk 20,000 crore in monthly transactions, the highest ever for a banking app in Bangladesh. This reflects not only the app’s widespread adoption but also its role as a secure and smart solution for customers’ everyday financial needs, according to a press release.
The milestone underscores BRAC Bank’s leadership in digital banking, marking another step in Bangladesh’s digital finance revolution. With ‘Astha’, customers can manage their finances conveniently, anytime and anywhere.
The app offers a broad spectrum of services, from eKYC-powered instant account opening to fund transfers, bill payments, and mobile top-ups. Customers can make use of various features, such as ATM withdrawals without a card, recurring payments, and transferring funds from wallets to BRAC Bank accounts.
Astha also integrates lifestyle services like booking bus tickets, streaming content, listening to music, and accessing courses on ‘Astha’ Learning. For spiritual enrichment, ‘Astha’ Islamic offers curated religious content, emphasizing the app’s comprehensive service model.
The app is designed to cater to individuals, SMEs, salaried professionals, and entrepreneurs alike, with tools that help in long-term financial planning, like FDR/DPS management, card blocking, and account statement downloads.
