BRAC Bank recently hosted a workshop designed to equip 100 women entrepreneurs with artificial intelligence (AI) skills to enhance their businesses.
According to a press release, held on July 28, 2025, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN) and supported by the Gates Foundation, the workshop, titled “Digital Entrepreneurial Skill Development,” focused on key areas such as product development, marketing, and digital branding using AI tools.
Industry experts, including President of BdOSN Munir Hasan, Program Officer at BdOSN Mosharaf Hossain Tipu, Co-founder of Opzo Technology Shah Paran, and others, led practical sessions on AI in business development, competitor analysis, marketing automation, and social media optimisation.
The workshop concluded with a certificate-giving ceremony, attended by senior officials from BRAC Bank, including Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking Syed Abdul Momen. Speaking at the event, Momen emphasised, “As the digital economy accelerates, entrepreneurs in Bangladesh need the right knowledge and digital tools to lead and grow their businesses sustainably.”
Through this initiative, BRAC Bank reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs by providing access to finance, capacity-building, and digital resources to support their success in the evolving business landscape.
