BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury has announced that if the party comes to power, it will create employment opportunities for 10 million people within the next year and a half.
The BNP leader made this statement while speaking as the chief guest at the “Sylhet Business Dialogue” event held at the Jalalabad Gas Auditorium in Mendibagh on Saturday.
In his keynote speech, Amir Khosru said, “If BNP assumes power, we will prioritise the information technology sector the most. Young people with at least an SSC qualification will be given jobs in the IT sector.”
Highlighting that Bangladesh’s economy once had creativity, which has been destroyed over the last 17 years, he stated, “Business must be kept separate from politics. If we come to power, the BNP government will work from day one to boost trade and commerce.”
The event, which discussed the current challenges, opportunities, and collaborative progress of Sylhet and the national economy, was organised by Khondaker Abdul Muktadir, a member of the BNP chairperson’s advisory council.
Special guests included BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu and former president Fazlul Haque.
