At least 35 people were injured in a clash between two groups of BNP at Khayerpur-Abdullahpur area of Austagram upazila in Kishoreganj district.
During the infighting, some houses in Baghabari were vandalised, looted, and set on fire.
Supporters of BNP leaders Kamal Pasha and Farhad Ahmed were locked in the clash over family feud in the area.
Police said a longstanding family feud existed between Kamal Pasha, president of Abdullahpur Union BNP, and Farhad Ahmed.
As a result, frequent clashes and attacks between the two sides were common.
On Tuesday, in continuation of previous hostilities, several hundred supporters of Kamal Pasha launched a sudden attack on Baghabari. As both sides engaged in the clash, 35 people were injured.
On information, police rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control. Additional police forces were deployed in the area.
