Bangladesh Film Archive (BFA) is providing an opportunity to watch all the timeless movies of the old days on the big screen. A month-long special film screening has started from Thursday (today).
Viewers will have the opportunity to enjoy these movies completely free of charge on every scheduled day of the week until April 30.
The exhibition will be held in a 300-seat state-of-the-art projection hall on the second floor of the Bangladesh Film Archive’s own building in Agargaon in the capital. All new, old or rare films preserved in the archive will be open to the public from 6:00 pm every Thursday.
Harunar Rashid’s directorial ‘Megher Onek Rong’, starring Mathin, Omar Elahi, Rawshan Ara, Adnan and others was screened today. directed by is being screened.
‘Din Jaye Kotha Thake’, directed by Khan Ataur Rahman, will be screened on April 9. The film stars Faruk, Kabori Sarwar, Anwara, Khalil and Tele Samad in the lead roles.
A color film directed by Shah Alam Kiran will be screened on April 16.The film stars Salman Shah, Shabnur, Anwara and Rina Khan.
‘Dost Dushman’, directed by Dewan Nazrul, will be screened on April 23. The film stars Sohel Rana, Wasim, Shabana and Sucharita.
The color film ‘Naseeb’, directed by Momtaz Ali, will be screened on April 30. The cast includes Ujjal, Shabana, Ilias Kanchan and Rozina.
The Film Archive regularly organizes such events to preserve the history of cinema and introduce the new generation of viewers to the heritage of Bengali cinema.
As the number of seats is limited, interested parties are requested to arrive on time.
