The Bangladesh Cricket Board recently held a fitness test for national team cricketers, which included two rounds of 1,600-metre races. The event tested the players’ stamina and speed, and produced some impressive performances.
In the first round, the country’s fastest-ever bowler, Nahid Rana, proved his pace is not limited to the cricket pitch. He completed the run in just 5 minutes and 31 seconds, finishing as the clear leader. All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz came in with a strong time of 6 minutes and 1 second. Soumya Sarkar clocked 6 minutes and 19 seconds, while veteran Mushfiqur Rahim, known for his quick running between the wickets, impressed with a 6 minutes and 10 seconds finish.
The second round saw fast bowler Tanzim Hasan Sakib take the top spot with a time of 5 minutes and 53 seconds, showing his endurance and pace.
When the overall results were tallied, Nahid Rana stood out as the fastest runner of the test, confirming his speed on and off the field.
