BB-Jamuna Bank launch Entrepreneur Development Programme

A month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme, jointly organised by Jamuna Bank PLC and Bangladesh Bank under the SICIP project of the Ministry of Finance, was inaugurated in Jhenaidah on July 24, according to a press release.

The event was chaired by Md Shahidul Islam, deputy managing director and CRO of Jamuna Bank PLC, Md Nazrul Islam, additional director of Bangladesh Bank and project director of SICIP, attended as the chief guest, while Superintendent of Police Md Manzur Morshed formally inaugurated the programme.

Moazzem Hossain, president of Johan Food Agro Chamber of Commerce, and Md Shamsul Alam, executive director of SEHEO, were present as special guests.

The initiative aims to enhance the capacity of new and existing entrepreneurs, providing them with training and financial support, especially targeting those outside the formal banking system.

Senior officials and local entrepreneurs attended the event, expressing optimism that this programme will drive financial inclusion and bolster local entrepreneurship.

The programme is seen as an important step in strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem and contributing to sustainable economic growth.
