Shomvob, a Bangladeshi B2B job-tech and HR tech platform, has been selected for Forbes Asia’s “100 to Watch” list for 2025. This prestigious recognition highlights startups from across the Asia-Pacific region that have demonstrated innovation, strong execution, and tangible impact in their respective fields.

Founded in 2022 by Rifad Hossain, Naqib Muhammad Faiyaz, and Hasibur Rahman, Shomvob has quickly gained attention for its work in Bangladesh’s workforce market, particularly in the blue- and silver-collar sectors. The platform allows job seekers to create a digital professional identity, access relevant training, and connect directly with employers, removing barriers that often prevent fair access to job opportunities.

Beyond its business model, Shomvob is focused on making a positive social impact. The platform aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, particularly in addressing poverty and promoting decent work and economic growth. One of the company’s core initiatives is to create job opportunities for low-income women in Bangladesh, a group historically underserved by traditional employment systems. To further this goal, Shomvob collaborates with organizations such as the Gates Foundation, UNICEF, Swisscontact, and Roots of Impact, helping provide financial independence and improved livelihoods to many.

In May 2022, Shomvob secured pre-seed funding from Cocoon Capital, a venture capital firm based in Singapore, which enabled the company to continue expanding its impact.

This year’s Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list includes startups from 16 countries across various sectors such as consumer technology, fintech, healthcare, energy, and agriculture. Shomvob’s inclusion on this list marks its growing presence in the region’s competitive startup ecosystem.
