Fresh from a run of success that includes an ODI win over South Africa and a tri-series title in Zimbabwe, the Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team are preparing for their next challenge. The young Tigers will travel to England in September for a five-match one-day series.

After returning home from Zimbabwe, the squad have been given a 10-day break before reassembling for camp on 24 August. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources have confirmed that the team will depart for England on 30 August. The series is scheduled to start on 5 September, with the remaining matches set for 7, 10, 12 and 14 September. However, the England and Wales Cricket Board has yet to officially announce the fixtures.

On Thursday morning, the triumphant squad from the Zimbabwe tour submitted their visa applications at the British High Commission before returning to the National Cricket Academy just after 11am.

Before their flight, the players will undergo a week-long conditioning and preparation camp. Speaking to the Times of Bangladesh, one U-19 player said: “Next month we will tour England. The English summer will be ending, so the camp will help us get used to the weather and the wickets there. We have never played there before, so it will be important for our preparation.”
