Bangladesh U-17 eye another win over Nepal

The Bangladesh U-17 Women’s Football Team will be looking to continue their winning form as they take on Nepal in the return leg of the four-nation SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship. The match is scheduled to take place at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu tomorrow, Wednesday, with kick-off at 3 pm Bangladesh time.

In the second fixture of the day, India will face hosts Bhutan at 6 pm at the same venue.

Bangladesh currently sit second in the league table with six points from three matches. Nepal follow closely behind with three points from the same number of games. India remain at the top, maintaining a perfect record with nine points from three matches.

Bangladesh started their campaign with a 3-1 win over hosts Bhutan but were then beaten 2-0 by India. They returned to winning ways with a convincing 3-0 victory over Nepal in their third match.

Nepal, meanwhile, began their tournament with a heavy 7-0 defeat to India, before bouncing back to beat Bhutan 2-1. However, they were unable to build on that momentum and fell 3-0 to Bangladesh in their third outing.

Bangladesh will go on to play their remaining return matches against Bhutan and India on 29 and 31 August respectively, with both fixtures also taking place at the Changlimithang Stadium.
