With the series tied 1-1, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are facing off in the third and final ODI at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy.
Bangladesh lost the toss and will field first in this decisive encounter. The Tigers have made one change to their playing XI — pacer Taskin Ahmed replaces Hasan Mahmud.
Najmul Hossain Shanto, who sustained a thigh muscle injury while fielding in the second ODI in Colombo, was at risk of missing this do-or-die match.
After the injury, he didn’t return to the field and was kept under 24-hour observation, even undergoing an X-ray of his quadriceps.
However, he has passed a fitness test ahead of the game and is included in the lineup.
Sri Lanka, on the other hand, have gone in with an unchanged XI.
