Bangladesh has advanced three positions in the latest Henley Passport Index, rising from 97th to 94th place in the global ranking. The improvement indicates a slight increase in the travel privileges associated with Bangladeshi passports.

According to the index, holders of Bangladeshi passports can now travel to 39 countries without a visa.

The Henley Passport Index, published by Henley & Partners, ranks passports based on the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa. The index covers 199 passports and 227 travel destinations worldwide.

In comparison, India ranks 77th and Pakistan ranks 96th in the same index.

While Bangladesh continues to lag behind many countries in overall global passport strength, its gradual progress reflects a positive trend in terms of travel freedom and international mobility.
