Australia crushed South Africa by 276 runs in the third ODI. It was their biggest win in in terms of runs in the format.

South Africa had already sealed the series by winning the first two games. In the final match, Australia won the toss and chose to bat first.

Travis Head and captain Mitchell Marsh lit up the innings with a 250-run stand. Head looked back in touch as he hit 142 from 103 balls. He played clean shots all over the ground.

Marsh also struck a fine century. He made 100 from 106 balls, showing power and timing with his strokes.

Cameron Green then raised the tempo. He reached his hundred in only 47 balls, the second fastest for Australia in ODIs. Green finished unbeaten on 118 from just 55 deliveries. His big hitting was too much for the bowlers.

Alex Carey supported him with a brilliant knock. He scored 50 not out from 37 balls and helped Australia post 432 for 2.

The Proteas chase fell apart very quickly. They lost four wickets inside 50 runs. Xavier Bartlett and Sean Abbott took two wickets each.

Dewald Brevis played like he always does. He smashed five sixes and two fours but fell for 49, caught at long off. He missed his maiden ODI fifty by just one run.

Young spinner Cooper Connolly made the most of his return. He took five wickets, removing Tony de Zorzi, Brevis, Wiaan Mulder, Corbin Bosch and Keshav Maharaj.

South Africa were bowled out for 155 in 24.5 overs. Australia ended the series on a high with their second-biggest win.
