Asia Cup fixtures revealed, Bangladesh’s opener set for 11 September

The highly anticipated Asia Cup 2025 will take place in the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to September 28, featuring eight top cricketing nations across the continent. The Asian Cricket Council has officially released the schedule, with matches set to be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

The tournament will follow the T20 International format, serving as a key preparation for teams ahead of the T20 World Cup. The structure includes a group stage, followed by a Super Four round and then the grand final. A total of 19 matches will be played during the competition.

The eight participating teams are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman and the host nation UAE. These teams have been split into two groups. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Four stage. From there, the two best-performing sides will advance to the final.

The opening match of the tournament will feature Hong Kong facing Afghanistan on September 9. India will begin their campaign the following day against the UAE. One of the most awaited clashes of the tournament will take place on September 14 when India and Pakistan meet in the group stage. Depending on their progression, fans could witness the two rivals face each other again in the Super Four round and possibly the final.
