With the magistracy powers of Armed Forces officers extended for another 60 days from May 14, the Bangladesh Army has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining law and order, urging public cooperation to help ensure safety and security.

In a public notice shared on its official Facebook page, the army announced updated contact numbers for its camps across Dhaka, enabling citizens to swiftly report any suspicious activity. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen internal security amid heightened nationwide vigilance.

“The Bangladesh Army continues its operations to maintain overall law and order in the country,” the statement read. “We urge the general public to provide information on any suspicious activity to the nearest army camp.”

This move highlights the military’s proactive role in supporting civil authorities to uphold peace and public safety. The Army’s use of social media also aims to foster trust and encourage timely public engagement during security operations.

Meanwhile, the magistracy powers for officers of the Army, Navy, and Air Force have been extended for another two months—marking the fourth such extension—effective from May 14.

According to an official notification, commissioned officers holding the rank of captain or above in the Bangladesh Armed Forces have been granted special executive magistrate powers throughout the country.
